Step 1 - Login to the 3cx web client.


To install the PWA, you will need the following information from your "welcome to 3cx" invite email.


  • Username: (extension number)
  • Password: (on 3cx invite email)
  • 3cx web client link: (such as <clientname>.3cx.com.au:5001/webclient)


Access the 3cx web client link on your browser, such as through google chrome. Then use the extension number and password to login.


If you lost the email or are not sure, please log a ticket requesting a 3cx invite email.





Step 2 - Install 3cx as a PWA

Installation is simple and can be done in either of 2 ways when logged into the Web Client:

  • Click on the Install button (circled red) located in the address bar and then confirm.
  • Click on the “More” icon in the top corner of the browser window and select “Install 3CX…”

On Windows, Mac and Linux, a desktop icon will be created which you can move anywhere you like. After installation, you can immediately specify to auto start the app and pin it to the task/start bar


Step 3 - Make 3cx startup automatically when the computer is turned on



This app we have installed will only popup with calls if the app is open.

Incoming calls will pop-up a notification panel providing the ability to answer or reject the call.

Microsoft Edge - Auto Start

  1. Open your Chrome browser and type ‘chrome://apps’ into the address bar
  2. Right click on “3CX” and enable “Start app when you sign in”

 

 

On Edge, select to Auto-start in the dialog that appears after installation.


OR


1. visit "edge://apps/" in edge browser.

2. Click 3 dots next to 3cx app.

3. Select "auto-start on device login"
