IMPORTANT! - This article only applies to Tempus Innovative Solutions clients.





Step 1. Download the Atera setup file here 




2. When the download is complete, open the agent installer package.


The setup assistant appears.

Note: If prompted with the message (pictured below), please do the following:

a) Right click the downloaded install file > Select Open With > Installer

b) When the message appears again, select Open

3. Follow the installer's prompts



Follow the prompts, clicking continue where needed until you reach the following screen (pictured below).

Next, we will need to input "nirmala@tempusis.com.au", before clicking save.

After that, we at Tempus will now have access to some information regarding your Macbook. We will need to finish a couple more steps before we can start remotely accessing your computer, however.

4. Open system preferences



Due to Mac's security settings, we will need to manually go into your security settings to enable remote access.


If you received the following popup, simply select open system preferences


If you didnt receive a popup, select (in the top left of your mac)  Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)




5. Give Splashtop and Atera access to your device. 



From this screen (pictured below), we want to:


a) Unlock the lock. Click the lock, then input your macbook's password. (If you have no password it may already be unlocked)


b ) Select accessibility


c) Tick any application that has either "Splashtop" or "atera" in the title. They should look like the below applications.

D ) Repeat steps 5a and 5c, twice more, but instead of selecting accessibility in, please select Full disk access and Screen Recording.



6. Install Rosetta


a) Press Command-Space to open Spotlight Search, then enter Terminal.


b) Click on Terminal to launch the utility.


c) Type the following command (OR COPY + PASTE): /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-licensed) Press the Enter/Return key.
